Iguana House and sustainable tourism
A harmonious stay
with nature
At Iguane House Villas & Micro Spa , located in Sainte-Anne, Guadeloupe, respect for the environment is not an option, it's a fundamental choice. Since our inception, we have placed sustainable tourism at the heart of our approach, taking daily action to limit our environmental impact while guaranteeing your comfort and well-being.
Our commitment has been recognized every year since 2018 bythe Green Key label , a guarantee of our seriousness and concrete efforts.
Our actions are structured around five main areas:
🌿 Reduction of fossil fuel consumption:
The sun directly provides the energy for swimming pool filtration and domestic hot water heating…
💧 Water resource preservation:
The collected rainwater allows for watering the landscaped garden as well as for exterior cleaning.
Beneath the dry garden, our micro wastewater treatment plant does its work and nourishes the landscaped garden.
🛒 Responsible purchasing and short supply chains:
Meals prepared using local and seasonal produce from our orchard or from local producers. Furniture made by local artisans.
♻ Eco-friendly waste management:
Selective sorting (glass, plastics, aluminum, and cardboard packaging), on-site composting of food waste and garden clippings to enrich the soil. Waste reduction at the source by favoring repair over replacement...
🌺 Raising awareness about the Caribbean environment:
Information is available on site in the villas in our welcome guide; exchanges with our visitors also allow for the highlighting of local biodiversity as well as the sharing of sustainable experiences.
By choosing to stay at Iguane House Villa & By choosing Micro Spa, you are contributing to a more respectful way of traveling for our island and its resources.
Together, let's build tourism that makes sense.
for today and for tomorrow.
See you very soon!
